Summary
The search of a common goal, to alleviate pain, disease, and health deterioration has forced us to research and design in biomaterials and nanostructures.
Manufacturation of spare parts for our human bodies by traditional procedures or by using tissue engineering and cell therapy as well as the design of nanoparticles for devices employed to achieve highly toxic drug delivery in a way that can go straight away to the tumors and can deliver the right doses, which is the minimum doses respect to the one used in chemotherapy and that can ensure the death of tumor cells without affecting the healthy cells. These issues are the current challenges and have a high importance in research.
The incessant progresses to prepare nanosystems with applications in the field of medicine have resulted in new challenges to design smart materials capable of responding to clinical requirements. These ideas will be discussed in the seminar.
