El grupo de investigación tiene los medios materiales y humanos y la experiencia contrastada desde hace mucho tiempo para poder desarrollar investigación en nanoestructuras híbridas superconductor/no superconductor y en superconductor/magnético. El grupo puede fabricar y caracterizar nanoestructuras y estudiar sus propiedades mesoscópicas cuando los tamaños de las muestras son del orden de las longitudes físicas características que gobiernan y determinan propiedades cooperativas en sólidos. Por lo tanto se pueden modificar dichas propiedades a voluntad y construir nuevos materiales con propiedades determinadas.
