The International Mentor Program (IMP) USA-Europe is an initiative of International Mentoring Foundation for the Advancement of Higher Education based in Massachussets, USA.
The aim of this call is to provide personal mentoring to 12 students (graduates and undergraduates) who are registered for the 2016-2017 academic year at either UCM or UPM within the framework of Moncloa Campus.
IMP internationalizes the professional career of students. Mentors will contribute their personal experience, their first-hand knowledge of the academic/professional world and their specific training in advising to optimizing the professional career of their mentees through regular videoconferencing, frequent exchange of emails, sharing information on job, training or funding opportunities, and counseling when faced with decisions.
Deadline: submissions are open from 6 to 21 October 2016 at 2 pm
Goals of the programme:
1.- Improve the education, and professional training of graduate and undergraduate students from Spain.
2.- Foster the internationalization of the Spanish universities.
3.- Promote the mobility and international projection of the Spanish young talent, by providing new professional opportunities through expert mentorship, in real time.
4.- Build up a solid network of professionals and collaborations between the USA, Spain, and Europe, to promote global exchange of ideas, people and innovation.
5.- Improve scientific excellence and the innovative/entrepreneurial spirit of our students.
