UPM researchers work on using algae as "filters" to mitigate CO2 in GHG emissions to the atmosphere. Algae, through photosynthesis, capture CO2 and produce biomass, which could be used for human consumption or for biofuel production.

The future Museum of the Campus of International Excellence of Moncloa will be located in the building of the National Costume Museum.
With the project submitted by the universities Politécnica de Madrid abd Complutense de Madrid Campus de Moncloa become an international reference in research, training and innovation in an integrated urban space in the city of Madrid.
