Cultivating algae to reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere

UPM researchers work on using algae as "filters" to mitigate CO2 in GHG emissions to the atmosphere. Algae, through photosynthesis, capture CO2 and produce biomass, which could be used for human consumption or for biofuel production.
