1st Testing of the Biodiversity at the CIE Campus Moncloa

On Thursday 7th June, it will take place the first Testing of the Biodiversity of the Moncloa Campus. The activity is organized by the research groups of Biology and Biodiversity of Arthropods and Vertebrate Biology and Conservation of the Universidad Complutense of Madrid belonging to the Campus Moncloa.

On Thursday 7th June, it will take place the first Testing of the Biodiversity of the Campus Moncloa. The activity is organized by the research groups of Biology and Biodiversity of Arthropods and Vertebrate Biology and Conservation of the Universidad Complutense of Madrid belonging to the Campus Moncloa.

The Virtual Biodiversities is a citizen platform that compiles online data of the biodiversity by georeferenced digital photography which is supported not only by a large amateur community but also by a team of over a hundred of biologists and experts.

The activity consists on taking as many photos as possible of the biodiversity of an area, in this case we refer to Ciudad Universitaria, and later these photos will be loaded to the project Virtual Biodiversity in order to identify the species photographed and provide knowledge of the diversity for Science, dissemination and preservation.

It is an open free participation for all those lovers of nature and photography that aim to expand knowledge of the biology diversity.
