On Friday 19th of April, it will take place the second Testing of the Biodiversity of the Campus Moncloa. The activity is organized by the research groups of Biology and Biodiversity of Arthropods and Vertebrate Biology and Conservation of the Universidad Complutense of Madrid belonging to the Campus Moncloa.
The Virtual Biodiversities is a citizen platform that compiles online data of the biodiversity by georeferenced digital photography which is supported not only by a large amateur community but also by a team of over a hundred of biologists and experts.

Last year, during the celebration of the 1st Testing of the Biodiversity at the Moncloa Campus, José Mañani, an undergraduate student of Biology at the University Complutense de Madrid, took a picture of a diurnal butterfly that had not been observed in the area for 70 years and over 48 year across the urban area of the capital Madrid.
It is an open free participation for all those lovers of nature and photography that aim to expand knowledge of the biology diversity.
Besides, this research group carries out awareness activities and analysis such as the campus status report after a cleaning day.
This day was a pilot experience which will be repeated in next editions in order to raise users' awareness the need to protect our environment.
