The International Centre for Latin-American Studies (CEI-AL) was created within the Moncloa Campus and consists of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. It aims to become a model centre for education and thoughts for problems of any kind posed Latin-Americans societies.

The CEI-AL aims to achieve academic excellence through the development of teaching and research carried out by professors and researchers with proven international academic prestige.

This lecture has three essential objectives:

1. To identify agenda subjects for the CEI-AL: both public and private issues.

2. To identify partners for future agreements.

3. Searching for strategies of public-private collaborations.
