Organic-Inorganic Hybrid surface treatment with Advanced Electrochemical Properties

15/01/2015

Date: Monday 19th January at 09:30

Place: E.T.S. Civil Engineering, basement 1. Calle Profesor Aranguren, E28040 Madrid

Speaker: Juan Carlos Galván Sierra

Summary

The sol-gel process has become a useful tool to develop new materials with electrochemical custom-designed properties.

In this context, we pay special attention to the modulated response for electrochemical impedance of organic-inorganic hybrid materials. This technique is a valuable interactive tool that can help to prepare these materials by applying design strategies inspired by crystal engineering and molecular architecture.

Diverse examples will be exposed in order to give a global view about the wide range of possibilities of the sol-gel process. This is used to prepare useful materials for construction of electrochemical devices and other advanced applications.
