Thin film piezoelectric materials and their applications
24/10/2014
Title: Thin film piezoelectric materials and their applications
Date: Monday 27th October at 09:30
Place: The Seminar Room, 1st floor. E.T.S. Civil Engineering
Speaker: Enrique Iborra
Free admission
Piezoelectric materials are those that are deformed when applying an electric field and the ones that generate an electric field when deformed. According to this property, we can design many sensor devices, actuators and resonators with diverse applications for the electronic instrumentation and electronic communications. The usage of crystal materials such as quartz or ceramics are the most common and have a high development level.
This seminar will comparatively review the diverse thin-film shaped piezoelectric materials highlighting their technological advantages. Next, we will review the properties, technology and applications of this material.
