Summary

The following issues will be discussed during the seminar:

1. Evolution of the materials used in the manufacturing of automobile bodies. Historical description of the first automobiles and the techniques used for their reparation, and then we will discuss how the evolution of vehicles has contributed to the development of new materials such as plastic, aluminum or high-strength steels.

2. Description of the main properties of these materials and what make them approachable to be used in the manufacturing.

3. Description of repair techniques launched in the market in order to adapt the nature of those materials and also, tools and equipments for specific reparations.

4. Remarks on the future scenario in the evolution of the manufacturing of vehicles bodies.
