The Community of Madrid awarded a prize to María Regí, the chemist responsible for a research group of the CIE Moncloa

Recognition of her professional career in scientific research

The community of Madrid awarded the Research prize Miguel Catalán 2013 to María Vallet Regí, a Professor of inorganic chemistry and director of the research group of Smart Biomaterials of the Moncloa Campus in recognition of her professional career in scientific research.

The Miguel Catalán prize encourages and reward the research excellence in professional careers within the Community of Madrid. This year, the prize was awarded to María Vallet because of her pioneering research in the area of biomaterials in Spain.

Vallet Regí develops a scientific career with multidisciplinary approach. She has conducted diverse research on Biomedicine and Health Sciences, Vallet is an international reference in the biomaterial area, especially ceramics and mesoporous applied to drug delivery.
