International Call of Post-doctoral Contracts 2012



3rd Round of 10 post-doctoral two-year contracts within the International Programme for Attracting Talent (Picata):


Objective: The Moncloa Campus continues to focus on the young talent and with this third call for postdoctoral contracts aims to promote the incorporation of researchers to help strengthen the collaborative work between research groups of the six clusters: Global Change and New Energy, Materials for the Future, Agribusiness and Health, Innovative Medicine, Heritage and Sustainable Mobility.


Candidates: The requirements for candidates are:


  • Have obtained a doctorate degree during the eight years preceding the date of publication of the notice.
  • Accredit the contribution of prior scientific activity: have at least six accepted publications of the JCR, except in scientific technological areas in which the minimum is four and have participated in at least one project in a competitive research university, company or industry.
  • Be less than 40 years at the time of publication of the notice.
  • Comply at least one of the following requirements:
  • Doctors who meet the conditions for Marie Curie Mobility Program of the existing Framework Programme of the European Commission, ie Researchers must not have made a major activity research in Spain for more than 12 months in the last three years.
  • Doctors who don´t have spanish nationality and have developed a PhD outside Spain.
  • Doctors of any nationality who have completed their research in a different country of their own nationality for at least 24 months. Candidates Heritage cluster that period shall be 12 months.

They may not be candidates who have previously been recipients of support similar features within the International Programme for Attracting Talent (Picata) Campus Moncloa, whether or not such aid continues active.


The research projects of the Young Doctors will be supervised by researchers from a research group of the UCM and one of the UPM (a must). Both supervisors must belong to research groups that have expressed interest in participating in thematic clusters Moncloa Campus. The project may also have other supervisory institutions Campus added.


Application: The completion and submission of applications shall be made through the internet application accessible from this page. The application deadline is open from September 3 until 15:00 pm on October 5, 2012.

The deadline for applications is open from September 3 through October 5 at 15:00 (local time in Madrid).
