José Manuel Udías Moinelo is the new coordinator for the cluster of Global Change and New Energies to represent the UCM groups at the Moncloa Campus.
The Rector of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, José Carrillo, has delegated his appointment to the Professor Udías to coordinate the work carried out within the Global Change and New Energies cluster along with his counterpart, Francisco J. Elorza.

The Rector of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, José Carrillo, has delegated his appointment to the Professor Udías to coordinate the work carried out within the Global Change and New Energies cluster along with his counterpart, Francisco J. Elorza.
José Manuel Udías received his PhDs in Physics by the Universida Autónoma de Madrid and is currently full professor at the Department of Atomic, Molecular and Nuclear physics of the UCM, where he joined in 1997. Earlier, he was hired by prestigious European universities such as the University Joseph Fourier in Grenoble (France) or the University of Tübingen (Germany), as well as the Laboratory of Nuclear Physics NIKHEF-K (Netherlands).
His research is focused on Nuclear Physics and its applications in the field of medicine; Udías has over 100 international publications in journals of high impacts in the area of Experimental Nuclear Physics. Likewise, he has led 10 research projects, some of them in cooperation with the industrial area.
José Manuel Udías has replaced José Fernández Torres, a researcher at the CSIC since 2010 and who participated in the creation of the cluster and its strategic lines.
