Dr. Lo received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Yale, his Ph.D. in biophysics from the University of California Berkeley, and completed his postdoctoral training in neuroscience at Stanford.

He is currently the Head of the Neuroprotection Research Lab, and Professor of Neuroscience in Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lo uses in vitro and in vivo models to investigate the molecular mechanisms that underlie cell death after stroke and trauma, and assess novel strategies for neuroprotection.

The lecture will take place within the Seminars of Biomedicine and is organized by the Departments of Physiology, Pharmacology and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. These Seminars are part of the cluster for Innovation in Health of the of the Moncloa Campus.
