Transport, Infrastructure & Territory

Líneas de investigación

Main research lines

  • Accessibility and Network Analysis
Objetives: Exploring new assessment techniques on infrastructure planning Accessibility analysis on transport network trough a spatial overview To investigate the spatial spill-over effect produced by new infrastructures To study the border effects linked to the accessibility mainly produced by the transport network Making research advances and innovations on transit congestion analysis Assessment of charging roads policies and pricing systems on transport
  • Transport Economy
Objetives: To assess the economic impact produced by different transport systems Making research advances on the general transport costs
  • Spatial dynamics
Objetives: To study the urban and metropolitan spatial dynamics Exploring the spatial dynamic of population and its growth To make economic activity analysis and the linked work market To assess the land use change dynamics in different environments
  • Mobility and Territory
Objetives: To assess the mobility in all its dimensions (demand, transport modes, commuting motives, accessiblity...), deepening on techniques of analysis and methods to assess its efficiency in terms of economic, environment and social sustainability
  • GIS Applications
Objetives: To introduce the spatial variables in the network analysis by using the GIS technologies Deepening on the spatial modelling techniques implemented on GIS like the multicriteria assesment and the geographic weighted regression To develop and to asses dynamic models of land use and transport To apply innovative techniques to modelling the spatial dynamics and the transport (cellular automata, artificial neural network...)
  • Network analysis and accesibility
