Campus Moncloa and BRUKER collaborate to boost research and training in microbial identification by mass spectrometry

The summer course Advanced Technologies applied to Food Quality and Safety, organised by the Agri-Food and Health cluster of Campus Moncloa ends 4th of July with the signing of a framework agreement for collaboration between Bruker Daltonik company, world leader in mass spectrometry, and the Complutense University of Madrid. This cooperation was founded after the acquisition of a MALDI-TOF/TOF, in Equipment Acquisition and Scientific-Technical Infrastructure Adequacy Programme, located in the VISAVET Centre.

They attended the signing Markus Kostrzewa, Vice President Clinical R&D Mass Spectrometry of Bruker Daltonik and Alberto Sánchez, Product Line Manager of Bruker Spain, and by the UCM, Andres Arias, Vice Rector for Institutional Relations and International, Joaquín Goyache, Vice Rector for Postgraduate and Continuing Education, Lucas Domínguez, Director of VISAVET Centre and Marta Pérez-Sancho, Head of new VISAVET-BRUKER unit of Campus Moncloa. Representing the UPM went Margarita Ruiz Altisent, Agri-Food and Health Cluster Coordinator with Lucas Domínguez.
