The Ministry of Education confirms the highest rating to the CIE Moncloa Campus

The Moncloa Campus has confirmed the highest rating, according to the Final Report carried out by the International Committee of the Ministry of Education in charge of the assessment of the International Campus of Excellence. The Moncloa campus, formed by the Universidad Complutense and Politécnica de Madrid, has the highest rating, A-Good Progress.

In this report, the International Committee of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, emphasizes the Moncloa Campus strengths such as the progress in publications in high impact journals in the area of structural materials development. This report also shows the participation in collaborative projects with diverse institutions such the Monitoring Networking of the Sierra de Guadarrama, by providing infrastructure investment, and the Spanish National Centre for Electron Microscopy (ICTS), providing teaching using new technologies and activities addressed to the general public: summer courses, seminars and exhibitions.

Likewise, amongst the strengths of the Moncloa Campus, the final evaluation report underlines the great potential of the two universities that have become an academic and scientific reference. The international academic and industrial participation in this community was also mentioned as well as the great value of the thematic clusters such as the Sustainable mobility , Global Change and New Energies and Cultural Heritage.
