A butterfly that was believed to have become extinct in Madrid has been seen again

During the celebration of the 1st Testing of the Biodiversity at the Moncloa Campus, José Mañani, an undergraduate student of Biology at the University Complutense de Madrid, took a picture of a diurnal butterfly that had not been observed in the area for 70 years and over 48 year across the urban area of the capital Madrid.

The exhibition opened on May 31th at The Complutense Art Centre (Museum of Costume, Ciudad Universitaria) and will be open until July 12th. The exhibition was organized by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid within the framework of the Moncloa Campus along with the collaboration of Universidad de Pública de Navarra, the Universidad de Alicante and the ACE (Acción Cultural Española).

On 13th June it will take place the innovation day entitled [cei]nnova at the Facultad de Medicina in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid that is organized by the Moncloa Campus. The event aims to know the abilities, solutions and services in terms of R&D&i of the research groups belonging to the Universidad Complutense and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid that work together and are divided according to the different scientific area
The CIE Moncloa Campus is to launch the International Centre for Latin-American Studies

The International Centre for Latin-American Studies (CIE-AL) is due to start its activities within the Moncloa Campus. It was set up by the Universidad Complutense and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
